Problem
US Healthcare is facing a crisis. Staff churn is at an all-time high due to the pandemic. Lamplight provides a modern solution, using AI to match nurses to roles. Providing nurses the ability to search, find and place themselves into jobs.
Process
Discovery - Market research into the current tools nurses use to find placements. I also looked at staffing & recruitment market leaders to get an idea of the kinds of user experiences that exist. Exploration - Explored wireframes and user journeys using Balsamic and Miro. Working closely with my product manager to iron out all the possible pain points early. Design - Using components from the design system I built helped speed up this project dramatically and made it far easier to iterate on ideas.
Outcome
This was a very bootstrapped project so I was very happy with the outcome. I feel I could have spent more time on the mobile experience but at the time the audience device split was still uncertain. Working one on one with an awesome developer (shout out to Conor) was my favorite part of this project.
Learnings
As the brand was designed by myself I was able to play around with colors and styling as I went with this project which really helped the process. Having a style guide in place already really sped up the process of designing the dashboard.
